Hey, I'm Paula,
nice to meet you.
Before becoming a UX designer, I worked as a project manager, product designer (with a focus on furniture),
and interior designer.
These experiences taught me how to drive change and how to build something from scratch. They also taught me to listen to the client’s vision and explore why their idea may not work and how we might consider alternatives.
I’m always amazed at how much you can achieve when you take the time to set clear goals, break a large complicated piece of work into smaller manageable tasks, and build a team and support structures to move it all down a coordinated path.

But, why UX?
I always drew, always designed, and always tackled big problems. I came across UX when I was looking for a way to combine my analytical and creative skills.
My past experiences allowed me to develop skills in stakeholder management, agile methodology, innovative thinking, and always keeping the customers in mind.
My transition was smooth because I was already very grounded in user research and focused on human experience, rather than just building an environment.
In my spare time...
When I’m not addressing UX problems, I enjoy walks with my toy poodle Wookie, creating my own gluten and dairy-free recipes, adopting new plants, and watching Formula 1 racing.
I also love taking pictures of colourful places - the more colourful the better (see below).
